TO THE TEETH OF THE EARTH - MT FITZ ROY, PATAGONIA

from A$95.00

Some roads feel less like a route and more like a calling — and the one that leads to Mt Fitz Roy is exactly that. Deep in Argentina’s Patagonia region, this stretch of earth seems to unravel toward something otherworldly, pulling you closer with every curve.

Captured in November 2018, this image traces the iconic approach: a winding S-curve of dirt road threading through the foreground, merging with the base of the frame before leading the eye straight to the jagged skyline of Mt Fitz Roy. Often called the "teeth of the earth," the mountain's granite spires rise with brutal elegance, slicing into the sky with a presence that’s both beautiful and defiant.

The shot holds motion in its bones — the journey, the anticipation, the pull of the wild. It’s a reminder that some places aren’t just visited — they’re earned. Through distance, through persistence, through a desire to witness something raw and real.

To the Teeth of the Earth captures that final approach. The last bend before the wilderness begins.

At Olliepop we believe in keeping moments magical, with this in mind all photographic prints are limited to 100 pieces.

Please note all Natural Timber frames come at a slight premium cost due to sustainable sourcing of quality materials.
